This holiday season I am most thankful for the mentors in my life. There are many people to thank who have helped me along the way.

Wrestling Coach Jim Morgan

Over the years, I have had many coaches and professors who took me under their wings and developed my work ethic that helped me get into dental school and the skills to get me through dental school and pediatric residency. I want to say “Thank You” to all of you!

Cross Country Coaches Van Townsend & Park Lockrow

My ultimate teacher/coach was (and still is) my dad. I knew going into college that I wanted to pursue dentistry because of him, and I knew that I was a lot like him, so I knew that I would enjoy it.

In dental school, I realized very early that I was interested in Pediatric Dentistry. About midway through, while I was in town for the winter holiday break, I spent a few days shadowing Dr. Sam Gill. After those awesome few days watching him and learning from him, I knew that I wanted to be a Pediatric Dentist, just like him.

Over the past 6 months, I have been very fortunate to work alongside Dr. Gill. It’s amazing that next year will be his fiftieth year as a Pediatric Dentist! His genuine spirit and his excellent patient care is exactly what I am striving to be over the next (hopefully) fifty years.

I am so excited to be working with two amazing mentors: both my dad and Dr. Gill. Dr. Gill and his fantastic team merging with Team Popp Dental is the best Christmas gift that I could have asked for! 2018 was a great year, but I can’t wait to see what 2019 will bring!

Happy Holidays to all!
